How many wings of fire books are there?
The wings of fire series are novels written by the Venezuelan-American author Tui Sutherland. She has converted this novel to an audio book as well. This novel is an easy read and are targeted for elementary school children who have learned to read and are exploring new books. If you are having a hard time getting your kids to read then you may want to give these books a try. These books are insanely popular and it is a whole different world for them to get explore and get into. Sometimes kids just need the right books to motivate them.
These novels follow the dragons, who belong to a total of ten tribes. These tribes are said to be distributed in two continents, the continent of Pyrrhia and the continent Pantala. Here is a look at the series.

The books are divided in to three arcs, and then subdivided in to 5 books for each arc
There are currently 13 published books, but the author has revealed that the third act will as well consist of a series of 5 books. Additional to these, the author has published a prequel and a mini-series.
The first book, The Dragonet Prophecy introduces the young dragons and their prophecy, they are meant to finish the war that has been fought for over 20 years.
The second book, The Lost Heir, shows the dragons adventuring in the Seawing Kingdom, it introduces a lost Heir as well, he is meant to help them end the war.
During the third book, the hidden Kingdom, the young dragons discover a hidden Kingdom in the middle of a rainforest, they venture through the Kingdom and discover many things.
When the third book was written, many schools decided to have the young kids read these novels as an assignment for class.
In the fourth book, The Dark Secret, the adventures become more mysterious, it differs a bit form the adventures the dragons took during the first and second book.
During the fifth and last book of the first era, The Brightest Night, the dragons end the war, this is a thrilling book, and keep the storyline of the dragons interesting.
The Second Era
The second era of the Wing of Fire saga takes a turn, as the dragons are now attending school, the second era follows the adventures of the dragons during their school days.
The first book in the second era, Moon Rising, follows a new dragon, beginning at the school that was founded by the dragonets after the war ended. This dragon has a special gift and must decide if he wants to show his powers or hide them.
The second book, from the second era, Winter Turning, follows the IceWing family as the winter approaches and they are faced with a mission they have to accomplish.
The third book of this era, Escaping Peril follows a character, Queen Scarlet through a journey where she wants to kill dragons.
Talons of power is the fourth book of the second era, this book emphasizes on a dark evil, the prophecy and the enemies the dragonets must face.
The last book of this era, Darkness of Dragons, follows the story of a dragon with no magic who needs to stop an evil character and want to make a small spell.
The Final Era
The last era written by this Venezuela-American Author has not been fully published, the author has made it clear that the saga will have 5 books for the third era, and that these will be published in the near future.
The first book from this third era, The Lost Continent, follows the now older dragons through dangers where they struggle to keep the hive safe and provide enough food.
The second book from this saga, The Hive queen, is a continuing of the queen introduced during the first book from this era. The book writes the story of how the dragons in the hives grew up and many of their family stories.
The last book from the third era, The Poison Jungle, introduces some new secrets, some of the dragons are seeking revenge, and others are following their life missions.
Although the last two books have not been published, they will follow the storyline of these characters. This Saga has been a huge success for both the author and the publishing house, these books are read by kids all around the US and has received recognition internationally as well. If your children loved the Harry Potter series or any of the other fantasy series then you should let them try this series as well.
